Henley Lions, as part of a global initiative to promote environmental causes, has completed the distribution of Wild Tribe Heroes books to local schools and libraries, including Peppard Primary, Stoke Row Primary, Kidmore End Primary, Sonning Common Primary, and Sonning Common Library.
‘The Wild Tribe Heroes books are a collection of gentle and engaging true stories about animals that find themselves in trouble when their lives are affected by plastic in the oceans or palm oil deforestation.
These books have been donated by the Lions to schools, as a useful resource that is relevant to schools curriculum, supporting children’s learning about the world around us.

Both Joan and Patrick are very active members of Henley Lions, helping the community in both raising funds, and also directly supporting charities to distribute help to those in need. We would like to thank both for all of their help over the years.
Henley Lions raised £500 for their charity account by helping park beautiful American classic cars at the Rally of the Giants event, held at Stonor Park.
The event at Stonor Park, 28th July, gave the Henley Lions the opportunity to volunteer their time helping to marshal and arrange these classic American cars, ready for the public to admire them throughout the day. This effort raised £500, which will go towards supporting our local community.
