At our October 2025 club meeting we presented a cheque for £1,000 to Helen & Douglas House Children’s Hospice as a contribution towards the repair of the roof of the Oxford based hospice.

This morning a group of members of the Henley Memory Cafe set off on a river trip on the Rivertime, a specially adapted craft based here in Henley. The outing was one of two this season that are being sponsored by Henley Lions Club. We’ve supported both the Memory Cafe and Bluebells over many years. Both organisations, which meet at the Christchurch Centre, help local dementia patients and their families.

During our July 2025 meeting we presented a cheque for £530 to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance which will provide for the purchase of a flight uniform and ear protection defenders for one member of their helicopter crew. A huge thank you to everyone who turned out to welcome Santa on his sleigh and who contributed on the night and afterwards.
